Child Development Program (CDP)

Wynnum Family Day Care and Education Service implemented the Child Development Program in 2012. The purpose of the CDP is to ensure that educators, parents, community services, health professionals and Wynnum FDC are working together to ensure quality outcomes for all children; with a particular focus on children that may have a diagnosed developmental delay or may be going through the diagnosis period. Our model of combining early childhood education and care with therapeutic support services such as Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy minimises delays between identification/assessment/diagnosis and intervention for children and families.

The CDP ensures children have immediate access to support via individual recommendations from health professionals in the form of an assessment, written reports and private consultations between clinicians and parents.
