Season’s Greeting from the team at Wynnum Family Day Care. May you have a spectacular break and New Year!
Annual Community Childcare Inc. Christmas Party
Another successful collaboration between Children @ Bay Terrace and Wynnum Family Day Care! This night is a great opportunity for the extended community of children, families, educators, staff and CCI Committee members from both services to come together and reflect on the year. We love this chance to catch up each year!
Special thanks to all the families for supporting our goal for a more sustainable practice with the request to BYO water bottles. This made for much less plastic waste and cleaning up at the end of the night. We greatly appreciate the hard work of the Wynnum-Manly and Districts Men’s Shed team for cooking 1000 sausages and huge thanks to Santa for donning his suit on a warm November night and meeting all the excited children.
Wrapping up 2019
If you are finishing care with WFDC this year, just a reminder that your child must physically attend care on the final day of the care arrangement to meet CCSS obligations.
Please ensure you have discussed with your educator about your ongoing childcare needs for 2020 – whether they will change or stay the same. If you need assistance with extra care that your educator cannot accommodate, please call Marie in the office on 3393 4311.
WFDC office closure
The service office located in Wynnum Community Centre will be closed from 12pm on Tuesday 24th December and will re-open on Thursday 2nd January 2020.
Educators can be in contact with the service manager over the scheme office closure period, to access support as required. See you in the New Year!
Educators within WFDC implement the Sun Protection policy to protect themselves and the children in care from the harmful rays of the sun. WFDC educators’ model and promote sun protection measures, and children learn about sun safety and are encouraged to wear broad-brimmed hats and suitable protective clothing in outdoor environments. Please discuss with your educator expectations for appropriate clothing and sun protection products within the FDC setting.
